Being a teenager is always hard but not experiencing the bad will prevent you from experiencing the good. Like a cheesy romcom, you need to go through something in order to appreciate the next stage in life.

Another psychological theory that could be included is the concept of identity formation. This occurs through what the psychologist Erik Erikson called “social mirroring.” Which is seeing ourselves reflected in others’ responses and adjusting our self-concept accordingly. When these reflections come primarily from an AI, a “pseudo-identity”—a sense of self built on artificial feedback that may not translate to real-world interactions. Although this is similar to what happens on social media as well but that is a different discussion.
This is also why I fear critical thinking is rapidly diminishing.
